Keeping Our Community Warm
About
Do you need your Energy rebate of £400 from the Government ?

Would you like to give back to local people in Mortlake and Sheen ?

MCA, operating here in Mortlake, is extremely concerned about the impact of rising energy bills on our community in Mortlake and Sheen. Many of our own users are over 75, live alone and are on low fixed incomes. We know from chatting to people who come along to our activities that they are extremely worried about how they will make ends meet in the coming months as the temperature drops. For some people who live locally, it will be a choice of eating or heating.

That’s why we are joining forces with St Mary the Virgin and Mortlake Hall to set up a Warm Soup Club offering people an opportunity to come to a heated space and share a mug of soup and a chat with others.

We need assistance from you to help fund this initiative and to cover the incremental fixed costs to support this and other similar new projects. Your donation will go towards creating this new service which will include funding the costs of extra heating, soup, fresh bread rolls, cake ,coffee, tea and milk as well as a contribution to our staffing costs.

Winter is coming so please give generously if you can. The Warm Soup Club will be led by MCA in partnership with St Mary’s and the trustees of Mortlake Hall.
