Jennifer Jones is raising £1,000 for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK
About
We successfully completed a 40 mile walk from Queen Victoria, Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester to Queen Victoria, Nevill Street, Southport seafront. This is in aid of SMA Support, a fantastic charity supporting and finding cures for muscular atrophies. MY STORY: My family is affected by spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy (SBMA or Kennedy's Disease), a genetic disease affecting men and passed on through women. My dad and uncles have this disease. I am a carrier. I have watched them suffer and waste away as a result, and I would like desperately to find a cure or prevention for the symptoms. By doing this walk, we are appreciating the muscle stress people with conditions like SMA, Kennedy's and Duchenne Muscular Atrophy endure every day. I want to raise as many sponsors as possible to help my family and other sufferers.
