Thank you for visiting Lynda’s & Zuzana’s Givey page that we’ve set up for our Wapping - Chiswick and back rowing challenge on Sunday 19th May 2024! 🚣 We’re proud and excited to be part of this intrepid team of parents - we’ll be rowing on the Thames from Wapping to Chiswick and back, a full marathon distance of 26.2 miles in the hope of raising much needed funds for this local charity Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre (SBOAC: You can visit their website directly to read more about this amazing charity: https://www.shadwell-basin.co.uk ) This is a unique riverside charity in East London, it’s a vital hub for our community, providing young people with opportunities to learn, grow and thrive through outdoor activities like kayaking, sailing, climbing, mountain biking, and of course, rowing. But not only that - They learn to navigate the waters of life with courage, resilience and determination. Children and teenagers from all walks of life come together to experience something truly special, they are discovering confidence in themselves, forging friendships that will last a lifetime. They are exploring the beauty of nature right here in the heart of London. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference - it’ll go directly towards supporting the centre’s programs, ensuring that more young people from our community have access to life-changing outdoor experiences.
