To run, crawl or swim 1655 miles in 2015, at least 500 of which will be competitive either in Obstacle Course Races or Road/Trail races with the remainder covered through training. Target is to raise 2.5 for every mile covered = 4,137.50 average donation is circa 5 so target is to receive, encourage, beg and bribe 828 donations at 5 which covers 2 miles of this challenge. Completing this challenge and covering the 1655 miles I should: Burn through at least 4 pairs of trainers Burn 201,910 calories thats 404 mars bars! Overcome at least 500 obstacles Spend at least 1,000 on entry fees Ingest at least 500 litres of dirty mucky water Sign at least 30 death waivers Drive at least 6000 miles to get to these event Fly to America twice to compete in the OCR World Champs and the Worlds Toughst Mudder tough life eh! Stab myself at least 60 times with pins whilst trying to put my race number on my t-shirt Relating the miles to activities: 1655 miles equates to the distance from my flat in Bristol to my birthplace in Scotland 4 times (413 miles per trip) 1655 miles equates to 63 x Marathons 1655 miles equates to 126 x Half Marathons 1655 miles equates to 275 x 10k races 1655 miles equates to 248 hours or 10 days solid running The average person runs between 5 and 10 miles a week, therefore covering 520 miles a year. This is over 4 times the miles of the average person. Good knows how many blisters shall be popped on this journey.....
