Janine Dransfield is raising £500 for Bliss, the special care baby charity
About
On the 26th October 2014 I will be running ten miles by taking part in the Great South Run in Portsmouth. I hope to raise as much money as possible for a very special charity, Bliss. Bliss is a charity for babies born too soon, too small, too sick. 25 will help keep the free telephone helpline running for one hour 40 will provide a counselling session for a parent of a premature baby 100 will provide training for a parent volunteer 155 will pay for a Bliss Nurse to help three families as they leave the neonatal unit and face the challenges of returning home 500 will provide 250 families with a Bliss Family handbook My brother, Jordan was born ten weeks early, weighing 3lbs 10oz, dropping to 2lbs 10oz at his lightest. Jordan received care, attention and life saving medical treatment, without which he wouldn't be here today. As some of you know I have a special birthday coming up. I would ask that if you had intended to buy me a gift you will instead sponsor me. There is nothing I need or want. I would very much like to help support Bliss and thank you all in advance for your kindness and generosity.
