This Christmas, we have the chance to double all donations to Latin American Foundation for the Future, thanks to the Big Give's Christmas Challenge. That's right: every penny will be worth double, meaning we can have double the impact for vulnerable young people in Peru. So I thought I'd go the extra mile to make the most of this unique opportunity. The Sacred Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Latin America (if not the world), climaxing at the magnificent Machu Piccu. Since Covid-19 means we can't travel this year, I thought I'd bring the Sacred Valley to the Thames Valley. I'll be walking the length of the Sacred Valley along the Thames - that's 100km (or 66 miles). Every donation you make will be DOUBLED, with every penny going to LAFF to support its programmes providing quality education and personal development opportunities for some of the most vulnerable, disadvantaged young people in Peru. LAFF provides young men who have suffered abuse or homelessness with a safe home and a chance to go to school again; it supports teenage mums, many of whom became pregnant through rape, with a nurturing, caring place to raise their new babies and still get the education they deserve; and it provides a place for young women from remote indigenous communities to stay so that they can attend secondary school.
