The parents of Shadwell Basin's Youth Group, together with members of Tower Hamlets Canoe Club and Shadwell Sailing Club are undertaking a joint fundraiser to support the running costs of Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre. The centre provides accessible and affordable outdoor activities for young people across Shadwell and East London, building confident leaders through its high quality schools work and longstanding youth provision which is funded through a combination of grants and voluntary donations. A team of rowers will be participating in the Great River Race from Millwall Slipway to Richmond on 16th September 2023 to raise money to support the running costs of the Youth Programme, 100% of any donations received will go directly to the programme.
