Simon's Cycle Adventure
About
I'm going to cycle every day of Advent (29 November to 24 December) come rain, hail, blizzard, haar or thunderstorm, with the aim of totalling 250km.

I'm raising money for Bikes for Refugees, who provide bikes and bike maintenance workshops to refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland.

Cycling has been an absolute godsend for me this year. It's helped me stay mentally and physically fit, it's helped me keep in touch with friends and family, and it's given me many hours of much-needed escape and joy. I've been very lucky to have been able to afford my own bike, so I thought it would be good to help out those who can't.

This is what Bikes for Refugees say about their work: "Bikes support the social inclusion and integration of New Scots into Scottish life and send out an important message of solidarity to people seeking safety and shelter. Bikes and the transformational power of cycling help isolated families and children to connect with communities and essential services, and to forge new friendships."
