Guy Simpson is raising £300 for Allegra Foundation
About
Recently the Allegra Foundation offered me the opportunity to hop on my bicycle for charity. In a moment of madness, I agreed. I didn't realise that the route would follow the 2012 Olympic road cycle race scaling some truly terrifying hills, nor did I anticipate that training would involve smearing something called 'Chamois Butt'r' all over some rather sensitive areas... On August 10th I will be riding the Prudential London-Surrey 100 in aid of the Allegra Foundation and Depaul UK, pitting me against 100 chafing, oath-laden miles from East London to Box Hill and back. This is the toughest ride I've attempted, but with your support I will conquer the cols and help two very worthy causes. About the charities: Depaul assists young people in the UK who are homeless and vulnerable, providing accommodation and protection. Allegra Foundation provides safe water to coffee-growing communities in Africa (the projects are administered by WaterAid). I love coffee and my job revolves around it, so this is a cause I feel particularly strongly about. The funds I raise will be split 50:50 between the two charities. Please consider sponsoring me to complete this leg-busting challenge; all donations will be very gratefully received. Thanks. Guy
