Steffi Stern is raising £2,000 for Acorn Overseas Charity for Children
About
I love running and challenging myself. Most people think I am crazy, I think I am not! I just do what I love doing. I also love children and believe that too many are innocent victims in a less than perfect world created by adults. Every child needs love, food and a home. Acorn Overseas helps nearly 50 orphans or refugee children to have those basic needs. I know the people well who run the charity and know that 100% of all money raised goes directly to the children in need. To help this little charity this year, I have set myself 3 challenges: #1: 13th June, run 44 miles non-stop with my husband by doing the Classic Quarter ultra marathon along the Cornish Coastal path from the Lizard to Landsend www.endurancelife.com/event-new.asp?series=86 #2: 25th&26th July running in a team of three 100 miles between us within 24 hours at the Cotswold 24 Hour Race, Cirencester www.100milerun.com/cotswold-24-hour-race and finally #3 23rd August running 12 miles across an obstacle course at the South West Tough Mudder Cirencester http://www.foreverfriendsappeal.co.uk/events/tough-mudder. So, I am full flow into my training with upto 5 sessions of bootcamp a week and lots of runs to build up strength, speed and mileage. Feeling good!!! And remember "Obsessed is what the lazy call the dedicated!" And... nothing is more motivating to complete a challenge than when you know that people believe in you by having sponsored you. Thank you for supporting me and The Children
