About
19 months ago I lost my brother, Dylan at just 41 years of age. Not only was Dylan an amazing brother but he was also the person who inspired me to run. Sport and fitness were Dylan's passion and he ignited that passion in everyone - he not only inspired me but gave me the confidence that I could succeed. I loved the time we spent running together - catching up without interruption and putting life into perspective. He gave me a reason to run. When Dylan passed away the one thing that I loved doing most in the world became impossible - I struggled to run without breaking down and the headspace I once enjoyed became too much. I knew I needed a focus and a reason to fall in love with running again. With this in mind I entered the Surrey Half Marathon to raise money for the Dylan Howells Foundation - a charity set up in memory of Dylan to support young people in Surrey to achieve their sporting goals. Training has not gone to plan after picking up an injury but I am hoping that I have still have what it takes to make it round on the day! Every donation will inspire me to get to the finish line - knowing that I am running for him and raising money for such a fantastic cause. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
