Who are we? P.H.D FUNdamentals are the only competition trampoline and gymnastics club based in the Scottish Borders. We offer classes for children from age 3 in Peebles and Galashiels. We have a display team called Team Evolution who have made the decision to turn competitive and enter competitions in 2024. These competitions include Paris and Edinburgh. Why are we fundraising? Team Evolution 2024 have been selected to represent the club to compete in Paris in October 2024. The team is made up of 21 gymnasts and 4 coaches who are dedicated to training and preparing to take part in three competitions as a team in Paris. The total cost is in excess of £30,000 and the team are working tirelessly, around their schooling, to fundraise to get there. When there, the team will display three competition routines that each require a different costume. How we’ll spend the money raised The funds will be used to help support the team with travel, accommodation, insurance and costumes. Any shortfall will be made up by sharing it amongst all the gymnasts and coaches. Community impact As a club, we provide opportunities to compete at all levels from recreational, floor and vault to four piece for gymnastics and club competitions in trampoline. We work hard to provide as many opportunities to take part in sports at all levels 6 days a week. We also support our community members with Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Saltire Awards, Leadership Awards, Learn to Coach and UKCC coaching qualifications. As a club we are keen to offer competitive opportunities in our display team, Team Evolution, that include gymnasts from all levels and ages within the club. The team are inclusive and inspire our younger gymnasts. How you can play your part There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality. 1. Make a pledge.
