About
Jaz and myself are both teachers at Paddock School - a Special Educational Needs School for students with autism and learning difficulties. It is an amazing place and we are very privileged to work with our students every day. We would like to raise money for 'Friends of Paddock School' - a charity linked to the school which provides funds for projects to enhance the educational opportunities for the students. For example, previous funds have been used to purchase minibuses to enable students to visit a greater range of offsite activities. The challenge we are taking on is to walk the Thames Path in its entirety - from its source in the Cotswolds to the Thames Barrier in Greenwich - during the Easter holidays. The length of the Thames Path is 184 miles and we will be completing it over 9 consecutive days, this works out at roughly 20 miles a day (7 marathons worth of miles in total). We have started some training walks and we would welcome any tips on comfy footwear, good podcasts and energy snacks!!! Thank you for taking the time to read the story and for any donations however small that you wish to contribute. Love Sam and Jaz.
