This Christmas, I’m travelling to Sri Lanka to volunteer with The T.E.A. Project, a UK-registered charity and INGO working tirelessly to empower the most deserving and disadvantaged children living in the island’s tea plantation communities.
These communities were originally brought to Sri Lanka by the British during the colonial period to work on tea estates. Generations later, many families remain marginalized, underprivileged, and trapped in a cycle of poverty. While the world enjoys a comforting cup of tea, the hands that make it often belong to families struggling to survive — with children who lack access to quality education, healthcare, and basic opportunities.
The T.E.A. Project exists to break that cycle. Through education, empowerment, and opportunity, the charity provides these children with hope and the tools to build a brighter future. You can learn more about their incredible work at www.theteaproject.org.
I feel deeply honoured to have the opportunity to work with this charity - supporting their programmes, bringing smiles to the children, as well as support to their families. To be part of something that truly changes lives will be rewarding to say the least.
I’m raising funds to support The T.E.A. Project’s ongoing work. Every pound makes a difference — even £1, £5, or £10 can go a long way in helping provide education, meals, and hope for children in need.
💛 100% of all donations go directly to the charity.
Together, let’s make this Christmas a little brighter for these children.
Please share donate what you can. Thank you!
