Suze Shardlow is raising £100 for Bloodwise
About
As you may know, a month ago I bought myself a new bike and, since then, have become a bit of a cycling geek. On Saturday 30th August a friend asked me to do the London Bikeathon with him - a 52-mile cycle past loads of famous landmarks including St Paul's, Tower Hill, the London Eye, Ham House (Richmond), Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The Bikeathon is in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphome Research, whose aim is to beat blood cancers. More info at http://www.leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk . The Bikeathon was less than 24 hours away, on Sunday 31st August. So there was no time to pre-register online and raise any money before the event - much less train for it!!! Anyone who knows me well knows that I never get out of bed at 6am on a Sunday morning and that I've only really been a cyclist for about a month, so perhaps there are some who may donate out of sheer amazement that this has actually happened! If this story amuses you, and/or you like the charity, please consider donating. cheers! Suze
