Tom McKibbin is raising £100 for Shelter
About
***NOTE: THIS IS A NEW CAMPAIGN AS THE PREVIOUS ONE HAS EXPIRED AND PEOPLE CAN NO LONGER DONATE TO IT. THANK YOU TO ALL THE KIND DONORS WHO HELPED RAISE £398 ON THE PREVIOUS CAMPAIGN!*** Hi, I'm Tom. Some of you may already know me as Tom, although a lot of people I know (as well as complete strangers) like to call me names like 'Jesus', 'hippy', and 'giant Jesus hippy.' This is because I've had long hair for aaaaaggggeees. So long that my wife and daughter have only ever known me to have long hair, as have my work colleagues, and many of my friends. But now I'm planning to cut my hair, and I'm using this as an opportunity to raise some money for a cause which I think is a very important one, especially at this time of year when the temperature in the UK starts to plummet. I'm raising money for the homeless charity Shelter. (*I will also donate the money to the Little Princess Trust - an organization that makes wigs for children who have no hair). As winter's grip takes hold and we find ourselves complaining about the bitter cold as we leave our houses or workplaces, I think it's important to remember that this inconvenience is nothing compared to the realities for those who face a night on the street or in bad housing. So I would like to ask you to donate, if you can, to help someone who may be in need this winter. I will be cutting my hair at the end of January so I will run the campaign until then. I chose Givey as the platform because they give 100% of the donations to the chosen charity. For more information on the work that Shelter do please visit their website: http://england.shelter.org.uk/our_work For more information on the work that the Little Princess Trust do please visit their website: http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/donate-hair/ Thank you for checking out my cause, and HUGE thanks to anyone who wishes to donate!
