TuneRoom is a safe space for young people aged 12 - 16 come together to learn how to play in bands, record themselves and produce their favourite songs in GarageBand. Together, the young people explore new ways of being musical, deepen their understanding of their creative selves and explore different aspects of the industry. We provide all the instruments, technology, music tutors, refreshments and space needed for them to take part. We need your support to keep this project going! The money you donate will go towards buying instruments for the young people to play, upgrading our home recording kits, taking them on exciting trips to meet industry professionals and touring bands, paying musicians to come and work with the young people, renting space and providing food. This will allow us to continue to give young people tangible skills for life and work as they learn music production, music tech, recording skills, music theory, music composition as well as team work, resilience, leadership, problem solving and communication skills.
