🌿 Sponsor My Silence – Give Voice to Survivors 🌿
From 8am on 18th June to 8am on 20th June, I will be going completely silent for 48 hours to raise awareness of the silence that so many survivors of domestic abuse are forced to endure.
This is more than just staying quiet. It’s an act of solidarity with those who have felt voiceless, invisible, and dismissed. Survivors often tell us:
“I was screaming inside, but no one seemed to hear me.”
“Every time I tried to explain, I was told I was overreacting.”
“He took my words, my confidence, my identity. I forgot who I was.”
“I stopped speaking because no one listened anyway.”
“As a man, I didn’t think anyone would believe me — I felt ashamed and completely alone.”
For two full days, I won’t be engaging in personal conversations, calls, or individual messages. I’ll only reply to essential work emails and post general updates. The silence is a symbol — for every voice that has been silenced, doubted, or dismissed.
We’re hoping to raise at least £2,000 — enough to fund 6 months of external counselling and group work for survivors who need specialist support. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue to provide trauma-informed, strength-based care through Family Based Solutions.
Please sponsor my silence. Let’s turn silence into action, and ensure no survivor is left unheard.
