citysouth3PC is raising £2,000 for City South Manchester
About
A group of hardy colleagues from City South Manchester Housing Trust will be attempting to climb the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours to raise money for two great causes in our local community in south Manchester Moss Side Fire Station Boxing Club and Procters Youth Centre. Moss Side Fire Station Boxing Club supports local young people from deprived communities in south Manchester to take up boxing as a means to increase confidence, self-esteem, discipline and respect for others. In an area where gang influence still persists, the Boxing Club is an invaluable resource that helps give many the opportunity to find a more positive path in life. www.mossidefirebox.com Procters Youth Centre has helped thousands of young people since it opened nearly 50 years ago. During the day it offers specialist tuition and support to young people who have had troubled upbringings and are outside mainstream education, and in the evenings it offers music, sport and dance activities for local children and a great place to socialise. Both the boxing club and youth centre are used regularly by hundreds of young people, but depend heavily on the work of volunteers and donations to survive. Please give all you can to help us support young people in south Manchester. The Challengers: Paul Ashberry Mark Beach Paul Doherty Simon Evans Stephanie Higgins Nicola Holmes John McGrail Will McLoughlin Gary Power Liz Prestbury *NOTE: CITY SOUTH MANCHESTER IS COLLECTING ALL DONATIONS IN OUR CAPACITY AS A REGISTERED CHARITY, AND WILL PASS ON EVERY PENNY WE RAISE TO OUR TWO GOOD CAUSES
