Hannah Matson is raising £1,000 for St Clare Hospice
About
We're running the Up Tow, Down Flow half marathon in memory of Sarah's mum, Karen, who died of breast cancer in February this year. We're raising money for St Clare Hospice, who were absolutely brilliant in caring for Karen towards the end of her life, and provided a peaceful place for her to pass away. They provide a completely free service, yet are only funded 30% by the NHS, so any donations would be gratefully received. It's fair to say that before we started we weren't the most enthusiastic/fantastic/capable runners (tears have been shed in the past when running for the bus) but we've bitten the bullet and trained a bit, and now (hopefully) this shouldn't be too much of an embarrassment. Karen was never deterred by a challenge - she ran half-marathons, climbed Kilimanjaro, completed lengthy bike rides... the list could go on, but we won't. If she could do it, then so can we for her. It's on Sunday 27th July (very very soon!), so please do share this about, updates on how it goes to follow!
