Wigtownshire Women and Cancer is a community group of 200 local women all of whom have had a cancer diagnosis. They would like to make Transcendental Meditation courses available to members of their group.   Wigtownshire is a remote rural area of Scotland with high health inequalities and poverty, low wage economy and poor transport links.  They miss out on the support services available in other areas of Scotland.       In the aftermath of their treatment they describe how many of them feel isolated and lonely and often have high levels of anxiety and depression and describe feelings similar to PTSD.   They recognise Transcendental Meditation as an essential tool to help them rebuild their lives and self-manage their mental and physical health.
