Parisa Gajjar is raising £650 for Motor Neurone Disease Association
About
It's finally happening! I've signed up to run the Royal Parks half marathon at the end of this year!! The motivation comes though supporting and raising awareness for an amazing charity! (And hopefully to raise lots of money for them). MNDA - Motor Neurone Disease Association MNDA is one that wouldn't come to most peoples minds immediately when asked to name a charity, or they may not have even heard about it. I didn't really know much about it until this year, when a close friends family became affected by the disease. MND is a cruel disease that damages your nervous system and causes the body to break down as a result. This makes doing day-to-day activities very difficult - even putting on a pair of shoes or buttoning a shirt. There is currently no cure and there are no well proven theories as to what could cause it - it could happen to anyone at any time. That is why putting money towards care for existing sufferers and research is so important; and that is exactly what MNDA strive to do. I'm really proud to be supporting this charity and I hope that just by people reading this page is raising the awareness about the good that they do!
