Mike Wardle, the Centre Director of Shadwell Basin outdoor Activity Centre is running the first Zagros Mountain Marathon in Northern Iraq. The course starts in the rugged Zagros Mountains and makes it way 26 miles to the finish line in the town of Sulaymaniyah. Mike has a target of £2,000 for this fundraising challenge on Friday March 27th 2026. This is to help raise funds for the Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre Youth Project which subsides places for young people between 80 - 100%.
