2025 is a milestone year for DIAL Barnsley – we turn 40! That’s four decades of informing, advising and supporting local disabled people, their families, and carers. We’re incredibly proud of this achievement, but it has only been possible thanks to the funding we receive and the amazing support of our local community. To celebrate our 40th birthday, we’re aiming to raise £4,000 to strengthen and expand our core Advice Line service. For every £50 we raise, we can fund an hour long phone call with our expert advisors. That includes an hour of advisors' time and a portion of electricity, phone costs and rent. Our Advice Line is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm, offering free, confidential advice and support to anyone in Barnsley. We help with a wide range of disability-related issues, from benefit checks to see what people are eligible for, to general welfare advice, and signposting to local services and support. If you’d like to support our birthday fundraiser, please donate as much or as little as you can – and don’t forget to share this with your friends and family! You can also join in by holding your own fundraising event, such as a bake sale, a sponsored run or a coffee morning, and then donate the funds to this Givey fundraiser.
