Around 3-5 in every 100 school-aged children in the UK, have ADHD. That is well over 300,000 children in classrooms today. An estimated 1 in 30 adults in the UK has ADHD.
Sadly ADHD remains chronically under-diagnosed and access to services and treatment in the UK is limited and oversubscribed.
Many suffer from co-occurring mental illnesses, long-term employment, poor academic attainment and poor relationships, financial problems and limited life prospects.
ADHD Norfolk recognises ADHD/ADD as a complex but easily treatable condition, which can have a profound effect on individuals, families, schools and society. We aim to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding ADHD, whilst providing support and advice for anyone affected by ADHD/ADD in Norfolk.
We want to make sure that everyone has access to ADHD diagnosis and treatment in Norfolk so that they can have a good quality of life.
