I once met an aged footballer who had given his youth, strength, and dreams to the game. He was once cheered by crowds, but now lay forgotten in a hospital bed, unable to afford treatment. His medals gathered dust while pain consumed him daily. No family, no support, no help. That moment broke me. I realized that heroes of yesterday are suffering in silence today. I couldn’t walk away. I started this fundraising to give them dignity, care, and a second chance at life—because they once gave us joy, and they deserve not to be abandoned.
