In rural India, women are responsible for finding and fetching water for their families - all the water they need for drinking, washing, cooking, cleaning. They walk miles, carry heavy burdens, wait for hours and pay exorbitant prices. The work is back-breaking and all-consuming. I'm running the distance in the London Marathon that three women in rural India walk each day to get clean water for their families. By helping to fund a roof rainwater harvesting tank, families can catch and store rainwater, giving them clean water at home all year round. Girls can go to school and woman can spend time with their families or work to improve their livelihoods. Help me to run the London Marathon and help to improve the lives of women and girls in rural India.
