About

We’re fundraising to commission a film to tell the missing ‘herstory’ of the women’s samba movement in Scotland. Please contribute to make the film happen! We've raised funds from Stirling Council's Community Pride for phase 1 - Discovery to workshop with the women from Beat That, Scotland's first samba band that closed in 2022 after 30 years. The charity needs to match that funding. Your donation can help us reach that £1,500 target. Next, we're applying to Year of Stories for funding to continue into phase 2 - Explore, to workshop with women from samba bands all over Scotland. Find out how to get involved and contribute to the story gathering: www.aquietrevolution.org/drum-film [When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure.]
