Supporting children and young people with disabilites
Story

For over 30 years, BOSP a small independent charity (1107392) has provided specialist clubs with care for children and young people from birth to 25 years, with complex disabilities or life-limiting conditions.

BOSP’s inclusive clubs that take place in South Essex and the London Borough of Havering enable children/young people, whether they have profound physical disabilities, limited communication, require specialist feeding, have complex health needs or have very challenging behaviours; the chance to access fun activities readily available to their mainstream peers; whilst relieving family pressures by providing essential respite.

Over 400 children, young people and their parents and siblings rely on support from BOSP.

Our 17 different clubs and services support children/young people at various stages of their development, with one-to-one support, ensuring that communication, social healthcare and physical needs are met, whilst ensuring the safety of everyone in the setting.

We aim to reduce isolation and empower the children/young people through exciting structured activities, developing their independence, self-esteem and social skills, so that they can enjoy a better quality of life inside the home and within the wider community.

BOSP is self-funded and relies on charitable trusts, fundraising events and friends in the community to help fund its services, so any help you are able to give is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your help!
