Mile Walk Fundraisers are a local charity in the borough of Halton, Cheshire, we started our fundraising after seeing the need for not just complimentary therapies for Cancer patients, but also for helping individuals and there families cope at such traumatic and painful times in there lives. The NHS is very good at treatment of patients, but it is the after care that is sadly lacking, through the local respite centers patients can receive therapies that alleviate pain, and also provide what one patient called "Her little Haven of Peace and support`` On our journey we personally have lost our dear son Paul, my father, a number of other family members, and our very best friend, so you see Cancer has more than just touched us. This are of Halton in fact has one of the highest incidence of all cancers in the Uk and even Europe. With your generosity and support we can continue to make a difference in this area, please if you possibly can donate anything please do so, every penny helps. I would also like to say that every penny donated does go straight to the aid of Cancer patients as the work we do is all on a volunteer basis no one gets paid, and I personally visit the centers to see what patients need before donating to ensure money does not get eaten up in red tape, or inflated wages as is the case with many charities.
