Historia

In October 2020 Christ Church opened a new multi-purpose building to serve the people of Norris Green and provide a new home for worship in the parish. Food Pantry is now up and running and during the 2020 Pandemic we began streaming our worship from there. Find us on You Tube and Facebook!

Christ Church has served the community in Norris Green from the time the estate was first built. Sadly, in 2006, the old Christ Church building and halls had to be demolished due to irreparable damage. Since then, however, the previously exhausted congregation found a new lease of life and has grown significantly in number as well as in community involvement. In fact, we had outgrown our current available spaces. The current Community Centre (i.e. the old vicarage!) was being used nearly everyday of the week, hosting a number of important activities- a Foodbank, children's and youth groups, a summer play scheme and holiday clubs, coffee mornings and craft groups, healthy eating and confidence & self-esteem classes, office space for our charity along with midweek fellowship groups, worship and prayer meetings. On Sundays, we met to worship at Leamington School- but even there our children and toddlers' activities are fast-filling the space available.

Our hope is that a new Church and Community Centre on the site of the old church will better serve the needs of our community and provide a spiritual home for those wanting to know and follow Jesus Christ. Even in these difficult days of Pandemic.... the new building is already making a difference!

At the time of our opening, we were about 15K short of our fundraising target. We hope to achieve this soon. Thank you for your support.
