Tim Hardie is raising $400 for Teenage Cancer Trust
About
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word cancer. The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity dedicated to making this happen, but they need our help. Like Sir Edmund Hillary, Neil Armstrong, and Christopher Columbus before me, I shall be embarking on a journey into the unknown and taking the physical limits of the human body to the extreme. On the seventh of September, 2014, in the name of charity, I shall be putting my body on the line by cycling across literally tens of thousands of metres of the barren roads in between London and Brighton. My mighty steed for this challenge will be a single speed fixed gear bike. This means that for every inch of the ride my legs must move around I can't change down gears going up the hills, and I can't coast going down the other side. Alone, I cannot achieve this mighty endeavour. I need fuel. Fuel in the form of money. Your donations to the Teenage Cancer Trust will be the energy that powers me over the 54mile course as I battle the elements and fight through the pain. So please, donate generously. Wish me luck!
