Story
The Belvidere Centre was founded in 1971 as a place for children and young adults with additional needs to come and socialise. We've evolved since then and now strive for social inclusion for everyone and welcome people of ALL abilities. We are no longer supported by the Council so rely solely on fundraising, donations and other independent income to keep the centre open, donations are always welcome! We run a youth club three evenings a week, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm - 9pm, for those aged 13-25. Admission is currently only £1.50! During the school holidays, we run a play-scheme for school aged children 14 and under. During the summer holidays the Playscheme is subsidised and ran by Wirral Play Council, during other breaks it is ran by our staff independently. Julie, our Chair Person (who also runs the playschemes) holds a lunch at the centre once a month, usually on a Tuesday. This is to raise funds for the club and is an all you can eat buffet. For any further information, including playscheme and lunch dates, please contact info@belviderecommunitycentre.org or belviderecentre@gmail.com The Belvidere Centre also lends it's building to two wonderful groups, Who Cares, and Carer's Trust. Who Cares is open to all carers on Friday mornings from 10am for tea & coffee and a chat. Feel free to drop in! We look forward to seeing you soon!
