Graeme Smith is raising £2,500 for British Heart Foundation
About
On May 8th, I will take part in the Da Nang ironman 70.3 Triathlon (aka Half Ironman) in Vietnam. I am competing in memory of my dad, who was taken from us after suffering a heart attack more than 20 year ago. I therefore kindly ask you to make a donations to the British Heart foundation. I approach the race with a healthy mix of excitement and terror. It starts with a 1.9 km swim, followed by a 90 km cycle and rounded off with a nice 21 km run. Around midday. In scorching heat that hit 40 C last year !! That I am able to compete at all is thanks to my wonderfully accommodating family who are having to manage with my being out training. A lot. I'm up to about 14 hours training a week, which I squeeze into my home / work life with the help of four 05:30 starts each week. This will be my debut triathlon and my target is simply to finish. Wish me luck and many thanks in advance for your donation.
