We are an organisation dedicated to building stronger community connections through all our work reviving Graham Street Park. All money we have raised has been spent on improving and maintaining the greenery throughout the park and to put on small community events (currently under strict COVID19 guidelines) We also help our wildlife flourish by feeding the hungry birds, and by keeping our gardening practices organic and insect friendly. In addition we run a little café and provide clean toilet facilities. Next on our to-do list is: The installation of an info panel about the late Crystal Hale. She was an important community activist who, in the 1960s, led a campaign to save City Road Basin from being filled and built on. She founded the wonderful Islington Boat Club in 1970, which has provided opportunities for inner city children and adults to gain access to this enjoyable activity. We are looking to raise enough to buy and install a plague in the park to remember her and her work for the local community.
