I'm joining a group of parents on 20th September 2025 to take part in The Great River Race which is London's River marathon, a distance of 21.2 miles, to raise money for Shadwell Outdoor Activity Centre.. Passing all of the ionic London landmarks along the way, we'll be rowing in one of the Centre's traditional Skerries along the Thames from Millwall to East Richmond. All the money raised will go to support the ongoing valuable work that the centre does for the local & wider London community. Shadwell Activity Centre is a purpose built centre between the River Thames and Shadwell basin in the East End of London, providing at an affordable cost, the facilities, equipment and instruction to encourage people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures and abilities to enjoy themselves while developing skills on, in and beside the water. These adventurous outdoor activities can be lifechanging for young people, including those with disabilities, to achieve success through gaining confidence, determination and inspiration, improving young people's expectations of what they can achieve. The centre will only be able to continue to do this with your help and support! When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation.
