The COVID 19 pandemic has had a devastating effect, particularly in disadvantaged rural communities in India. Over the last 30 years, Manavodaya’s work has seen millions of people raised from absolute poverty and oppression through self-help, not fundraising from afar. However, the pandemic has changed this and we urgently need your help to enable us to continue training facilitators who make a real ongoing difference. In order for facilitators to link with poor and isolated communities, they desperately need access to phones, sim cards and video conferencing. Your donation will support the use of technology to connect people in these times of essential social distancing. The techniques of facilitation and self-help, often with poor rural women, help individuals come together and make meaningful change using their inherent power within. Known as People Based Development, Manavodaya facilitates the individual and oppressed groups to navigate solutions that work for them.
