About
Please can you sponsor Henry the Hedgehog and I to complete our challenge of walking the 100 miles of the South Downs Way between the 1st and 8th of August. It costs £20 each hour, £480 each day, and £350,000 each year to fund our vital wildlife care so whether you donate £20 or £480 your contribution will make an impact. Hi, my name is Emily and I am 16 years old. This summer I should have taken my GCSE's, had my leavers prom and gone to Sri Lanka to volunteer with elephants at a reserve. Like many things, all of this has been cancelled due to the phenomenon called Covid-19. My friends Julia, Charlotte and I decided we needed to turn a positive out of the negative that is 2020, so we have decided to walk the South Downs Way and raise money for our chosen charities. We have been training since lockdown restrictions were lifted and we were allowed to meet up. We have planned, booked and organised everything ourselves. I am madly passionate about animals and believe the work that Brent Lodge do is invaluable. Every penny we can raise will help some of our most endangered species. I have set myself a target of £480, as that is what it costs to keep the hospital running for one day. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to.
