Story

Hothouse Theatre is a Nottingham-based charity committed to engaging people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in creative activity. Our work spans theatre, film, audio, and journalism, with a central focus on empowering individuals, building confidence, and raising aspirations. Established in 1998 and formally registered as a charity in 2013, we use the arts to connect communities and drive social impact, often in partnership with local organisations.

Our Youth Work

Hothouse Theatre has over 25 years of experience working with young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our youth projects provide free, creative workshops and holiday sessions designed to be inclusive, engaging, and confidence-building.

Theatre Productions

Our theatre productions are based around new and original work and the use of the classics in new and innovative ways, using a unique fringe style in unusual performances spaces.
