Axel’s Story Our beautiful son Axel was taken from us far too soon, in a sudden and heartbreaking tragedy. Axel was a much-loved son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend. He brought so much love, laughter and happiness into the lives of everyone who knew him. No parent should ever have to face the unimaginable pain of losing their child, and we are struggling to come to terms with a future without our precious boy. We have chosen to raise funds for Freddie’s Wish in Axel’s memory, a charity that supports families facing the devastating loss of a baby or child. Freddie’s Wish is a registered charity (No. 1202601) with love at its heart, wanting to help those who have lost a baby or child of any age and offer support and care when needed. They help bereaved parents access fully funded bereavement support and counselling, and also run regular parent and child first aid courses which are free to attend. We hope that, through fundraising in Axel’s memory, we can help Freddie’s Wish continue to provide this vital support to other families facing the unimaginable.
