Most adults with learning disabilities now live in the community but are socially excluded because of a lack of social contacts and accessible transport. They cannot pursue interests, participate in mainstream community activities, make choices, gain skills or develop independence. Interest Link Borders addresses this by linking adults with learning disabilities one-to-one with trained volunteers so they can meet up on a regular basis to do activities of their choice in the community.
