I am shaving all of my hair off to raise money for Starter Packs Glasgow. Anyone that knows me will know this is a big sacrifice for me - I have grown my hair long for many years. I have no idea what I'm going to look like with no hair - even when I was born I had a full head of hair!! My hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs to boys and girls who have suffered hair loss through cancer or other illnesses. About Starter Packs: they provide packs of household items to individuals and families, predominantly coming from homelessness into a permanent tenancy. Most people who receive a Starter Pack have nothing at all to begin with and are starting all over again. They work closely with housing associations and other organisations to provide packs to people all across Glasgow. Starter Packs is largely self funded and rely on the public donating goods and undertaking fundraisers such as this. They have two charity shops, The Magpie's Nest and The Magpie's Eye, which help to fund more packs going out to even more people. I would love to meet my target of £500.
