On Sunday, 25 October, I'll be running the Frankfurt Marathon – 26.2 miles through a city where I studied and worked for many years. After quite a few miles of training over the past few months, I'm looking forward to taking on the challenge! Whilst running the marathon is primarily something I wanted to challenge myself with personally, I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for a good cause along the way. I have chosen to support Sarah's Pink Events, a charity that does fantastic work supporting breast cancer patients and their families. Through my involvement with the wider Mailway family, I have seen firsthand the dedication and enthusiasm of the people behind Pink Events. I've also had the opportunity to speak with medical professionals at St James's Hospital in Leeds and understand just how much of a difference the funds raised can make. A little shout-out to my Saturday morning running group (some of them pictured above). We are running together on most Saturdays, and over time these runs have become one of the biggest reasons I have kept going and stayed motivated. The miles are certainly easier when you've got good company! If you'd like to support me and contribute to a great cause, any donation, however small, would be very much appreciated.
