The 'Official Liverpool Supporters Club - Brighton & Sussex' has supported The Whitehawk Foodbank in the past and has decided it is time to do so again, as part of a bigger initiative by the LFC Foundation's Social Action Challenge. The Whitehawk Foodbank’s vision is to be able to close the doors of our foodbank because everyone in our community has what they need to afford the essentials. This future may seem far off, but we’re committed to doing what we can to work towards a hunger-free future by providing wraparound support to those needing emergency food and preventing them from getting to the place where it is needed in the first place. For now, the foodbank provides seven days of emergency, balanced food and household supplies to people in crisis across Whitehawk and East Brighton. Operating via referral vouchers from agencies like Citizens Advice. It also runs a Community Support Cafe offering free advice on debt, benefits, mental health, and much more.
