The Lanka Environment Fund is a registered not-for-profit organization that supports existing local environmental and conservation groups in Sri Lanka to make a positive impact and bring about long-lasting change to the biodiversity and ecosystems of Sri Lanka. Blessed with a plethora of diverse ecosystems and home to species found nowhere else on Earth, the island is listed as one of the planet's 35 biodiversity hotspots.

However, with the island's ecosystems under severe threat due to increasing population pressures such as the country's drive towards development and urbanization, the impacts of our changing climate and the prevailing global situation surrounding COVID19, the Lanka Environment Fund needs your support! With 100% of your donations going towards grassroot level conservation work, we urge you to aid us in this journey of protecting and restoring Sri Lanka's biodiversity and ecosystems.

Thus far the Lanka Environment Fund has approved funding the following projects:

Providing funding to the Wilderness & Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT) to continue their work in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. This project identifies and establishes forest corridors, using the leopard as an umbrella species, thereby allowing for the long-term conservation and restoration of this landscape.

Funding the design and dissemination of a sustainability best practices guide for small and medium scale tourism stakeholders within Sri Lanka.

The creation of a network of water refill stations in a premier coastal destination in Sri Lanka that has set a community goal to be plastic free by 2025.
