Lesvossolidarity
Story
On the 24th of November I will be joining others on the island of Lesvos with the aim of providing support to the refugees that are there. The governments failure to protect people calls for us, the people to organize and keep pushing until they take action. While UK based activists work to put pressure on the EU, other activists (including myself) will make their way to Lesvos to help with immediate needs there. When there, I will be helping in the camps and also on the shores of the beaches as boats arrive. By donating directly to me you have the opportunity to be a massive help to those most in need. 100% of donation will go towards the delivery and organisation of food, water, blankets and other essential aid. This link is an article written by a very good friend who knows first hand the immediate need there is in Lesvos and just how much your contributions to the cause will help. Please take a minute to read it. http://mariennapw.com/2015/10/29/entry-iii-the-sinking-of-the-nameless-recollections-of-a-volunteerjournalist/ This page will stay up for the duration of my trip, so if you want to give a little each week the option is there. If you cannot give, share this page and urge other to give. Thank you in advance for your generous contributions.
