Lindsay Adams is raising £100 for Active Training and Education (ATE)
About
The GreATE 24 Hour Run is a fundraising event run by volunteers from Active Training and Education (ATE). In short, our volunteers will be in a continuous relay for 24 hours- at any one time, one of us will be running, walking or crawling around a 2.5 mile circuit by the River Severn in Worcester, to help raise funds that will support the organisation's mission. ATE are a charity who run residential summer camps for children aged 8-16 in the UK. I trained as a Monitor a couple of years ago and have volunteered on summer weeks and on school residential trips meeting the most amazing people along the way! ATE work hard to bring children from a wide range of backgrounds together for adventure and play in safe, unique residential settings. ATE widely promotes the value of play and related activities and to give as many children as possible access to our unique repertoire. We aim to stretch and challenge children’s imaginations and expectations of themselves and to increase their confidence and self-belief. A Superweek provides new activities and experiences for children; new hobbies, new games, and new friends and allows children to discover new talents and interests. To find out more information about ATE and the Superweeks we run, please visit www.superweeks.co.uk. You can also find us on Facebook & Twitter.
