Lis Ashton is raising £300 for URBAN SHIFT
About
Thank you for offering to sponsor me. Let me tell you a little about who I am running for. Urban Shift are a small Bolton-based Christian charity set up by a couple of my lovely friends Moira and Esther. Currently the key annual project for Urban Shift is taking a group of young people from Bolton to work with some of the poorest communities in South Africa. The young people from Bolton help build and develop facilities in South Africa to enable the community to overcome biting poverty and the ravages of HIV/AIDS. Note that the young people from Bolton work extremely hard to raise all the money for their trip. They are required to raise enough to cover all the costs of the materials they will use while working in South Africa in addition to the costs of their travel and accommodation. This way there is no burden on the South African hosts and the young people have real ownership of their trip long before they depart. Over the years the experience is a life transforming one for both the young people from Bolton and the people they work with in South Africa. If you are proud of our Bolton young people and want to support them in this incredible journey then please spare what you can and support me in my first 10k run. Thank you for visiting our Givey page. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. This means you may pay a little extra on your donation so please consider this when deciding how much you donate. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to.
