As part of the continued developments to the outdoor areas; school are planning to focus on the 'Allotment' during the next academic year. Children in Early Years and The Haven have taken the lead this year; planting flowers, fruits and vegetables and enjoying looking after and observing these all grow. They have also had enjoyment in using the 'fruits of their labour' to make delicious recipes.. The next phase of this project is to fund a fence to link the Secret Garden, Allotment and Outdoor Cabin. This will help to make it a clearly identified area so that more beds can be added and KS1 and KS2 can start to use the area to support their learning in areas such as Science whilst also promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
