Books & stationaries for the school children in Nepal
Story
On 25th April, a devastating earthquake stuck Nepal, with a death toll of over 9000. I visited Nepal in July this year to participate in the relief effort organized by Nepal Scotland Association(NSA), a UK registered charity based in Edinburgh. I visited a school in Sindhupalchowk(250km away from the capital, Kathmandu) and was sadden to see the extent of the damaged caused by the massive earthquake. The classroom has been damaged & children are forced to study in temporary tents. The monsoon isn't helping either. We distributed some of the relief materials taken & also conducted a survey to help re-build the school. With the help of the charity, the classroom is going to be rebuild early next year, so that the children aren't denied education.( Key for their own development & for a poor country like Nepal). I am travelling to Nepal again this November & plan to visit the school children in Dec 18th. I plan to raisie funds(£250) to get books/stationaries to take with me to the school.( The materials would be bought from Nepal to support the local economy, post earthquake). I want to share some of the pictures taken during my last visit & would request you to support me to help in the education of these needy children. Your donation will directly go to the charity account who would then resource the materials from Nepal. Details about the charity can be found at www.nepalscotlandassociation.org. Nepal Scotland Association, Registered charity no. SC035084, Edinburgh Thank you. Nish Rijal
